Future-Oriented Condensed Statement of Operations

The Future Oriented Condensed Statement of Operations provides a general overview of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s operations. The forecast of financial information on expenses and revenues is prepared on an accrual accounting basis to strengthen accountability and to improve transparency and financial management. The forecast and planned spending amounts presented in other sections of the Departmental Plan are prepared on an expenditure basis; as a result, amounts may differ.

Planned total expenses for fiscal year 2026-27 are $279.4 million, a decrease of $12.8 million compared to the 2025-26 forecast results. The decrease in planned expenses for fiscal year 2026-27 is due to the sunsetting of several initiatives and the implementation of Refocusing Government Spending and Comprehensive Expenditure Review measures.

Total revenues represent the gain on disposal of tangible capital assets.
