Footnote 1

The test frame was constructed with 12.7-mm-thick oriented strandboard (OSB) that was fastened to 38 mm × 152 mm wood rafters spaced at 600 mm on centre (o.c.). The panels were fastened onto the test frame measuring 1 830 mm × 1 830 mm. The complete test frame was 6 shingle courses in height and 3 to 4 panels in width.

Footnote 2

At −7.8 kPa, a shingle was observed to buckle outwards at a course and panel joint interface. Upon inspection, it was noted that a screw was missing at this location. The missing screw was installed and re-testing to failure was conducted.
